This walking tour is designed for those who want to get up close and personal to the history of one of America's most famous cities.  Experience nearly 350 years of history as we stroll and explore many of the famous areas of historic Charleston.  This tour includes narration on many of Charleston's most important homes and areas... all under the illumination of the lights of Charleston.

 

 

By night, it’s easy to see why Charleston is often referred to as the "Hidden Jewel of the South," with its landmarks illuminated in the dark sky.  Enjoy a different Charleston as you walk past the city’s beautiful buildings and streets.   We take you for an evening stroll for the best photo opportunities and stories surrounding many of Charleston's famous sights.

 

 

Enjoy an evening stroll of Charleston and hear stories of legends, pirates, wars, ghosts and romance on a 2-hour walking tour.  Learn about the fascinating history that has shaped Charleston as you wander along our wonderful alleyways and charming cobbled streets.   Hear stories from your licensed guide of Charleston's past while enjoying the picturesque illumination of the "Holy City".

 

You will be immersed in the Charleston stories of the American Revolution, the American Civil War, the City (Slave's) Market, Freemasons, evil spirits, the church that inspired "Amazing Grace", Charleston's oldest public building, fountains, gas lanterns and much, much more.  All while enjoying the cool night breezes of Charleston Harbor.

 

The tour lasts approximately 1.5 hours and meets at Market Hall at 188 Meeting Street.  

The Charleston By Night tour is a walking tour of approx. 1.5 miles.  Please consider this if you have health issue that make walking longer distances problematic.
