All About Charleston Tours are THE experts in Charleston military history!  We take great pride in what we do.  We specialize in covering all aspects of American military heritage related to Charleston from the American Revolution through the Vietnam War.  We wish to share this ‘on the ground’ knowledge with you as we believe it is only by walking in the footsteps of those who were there can you get a real insight into what went on.   All About Charleston enables you to ‘live’ the history.

Charleston has a rich military history as the city was on the frontlines of the Revolution and the Civil War.  In addition, the Charleston area has been home to the Charleston Navy Yard, the Naval Weapons Station and the Charleston Air Force Base.  Charleston is also the home to Patriot's Point Naval and Maritime Museum.  his unique area features the USS Yorktown (CV-10), USS Laffey (DD-724) USS Clamagore (SS-343) a Vietnam support base and a Cold War memorial.  In addition, the USS Yorktown hosts the US Medal of Honor Museum.

Other military venues include The Citadel (Military College of South Carolina), and the American Military History Museum.  You will visit White Point Garden and see gun batteries and memorials to famous Charleston military commanders, events and ships.

This tour is great for military veterans and thier families, military reunions and military enthusiasts in general.
